TURNING LEMONS INTO LEMONADE
We often plan for things and expect them to go the way we imagined. This isn't always the case and when we find ourselves faced with circumstances, events and seasons we have not planned for, it can knock us totally off track.
Join Heather as she shares her personal experience with life not going as planned. When her daughter was born with a rare genetic disorder, she chose joy over pain despite the predications from professionals. Her story will show that our God is a loving God who makes all things work together for His good and how we can chose joy even when the world tells us we shouldn't. This breakout will be a testimony of faith, love and encouragement during the dark and difficult seasons in life.
Heather Chandler has been married to her high school sweetheart for 9 years. Together they have 2 beautiful children who bring much joy and happiness into their lives. She enjoys evening strolls with her family and being outside. Heather works hard to advocate for deaf children within the community and has a passion to encourage families with special needs children.
Walking in Contentment: Discover how to unlock God’s power to influence those around you.
Have you ever looked at your bible and thought, "I wish I knew more; I know I need to know more!", but you were unsure how to achieve it?
God’s word is a big book that can be very overwhelming and at times difficult to understand. But yet God tells us that the secret of being content is found in truly knowing Him through His word.
Daniel: 11:32 says, "...the people who know their God will display strength and take action." In Colossians 1:9-10 Paul prays, "We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way."
In this breakout session we’ll walk through the “how to’s” of studying the bible. You'll learn how to study the bible, not just for information about God but to know Him personally.
Joy is a Jesus seeking gal, who loves to study the scriptures with those who’s desire is for Him to be their all in all. She is always seeking grace so she can then extend it to those who God places in front of her. She enjoys walks in nature, flowers, vanilla lattes, books, interior design, and exploring new cities with her husband, Jamie. Although she’s born and bred in the Saint John area, she’s lived in many different places, McKinney, Texas being one of her favorites. While in Texas she studied many books of the bible inductively as well as undert training to lead inductive bible study. During the school months she leads a Precept Upon Precept, inductive study at Kings Church in the Valley campus.

Learn about God's faithfulness in His promise that He'll never leave our side and how He gives us a perfect measure at just the right time of everything we need to get through the disappointments and losses in this journey of life.
