REGISTRATION FOR HARVEST 2019 IS NOW CLOSED
It makes us run and hide.
It creates distance between us and God.
It tells us we aren’t good enough. That we aren’t worthy of being loved. Shame says that we could never be holy.
The bible is full of people who seemed to be overcome by the weight of shame. The woman at the well waited until the hottest time of the day to draw water so she could avoid people who knew of her reputation. Jesus brought her a message about a living water that would quench even her deepest thirst forever. The bleeding woman had a disorder that excluded her from social contact. But she was the one, in a bustling crowd of people, who reached out to silently touch Jesus. In doing so, she found her healing.
When we look to Jesus, we always find joy; a pure joy that transcends our circumstances. Our prayer for Harvest this year is that women everywhere will lift their eyes to the only ONE who brings true joy, that they will look to Him for their help, and trade the shadow of shame for the radiance of joy!
As senior pastor, Brent Ingersoll has led Kings Church through its transformation into a multisite congregation and one of the fastest growing churches in the country. Under Brent’s leadership, Kings Church is raising up future leaders, addressing child poverty, and ushering people into a dynamic faith in Jesus. Born and raised in New Brunswick, his passion is to see the Church mobilized to make a significant impact for God throughout the region. Brent lives in Quispamsis, NB, with his wife Melanie, their daughter Ava, and their sons Aden and Alexander.
Heather Semple is currently a Pastor on 12Stone Church’s Central Campus Leadership Team. Prior to 12Stone, she served as Senior Pastor of Red Cedar Church in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. While her calling and commitment to the local church is foremost, she is also a sought after leader and speaker. Her direct and disarming communication style gives her a unique voice of both compassion and challenge. And Heather’s own personal story of rebellion to restoration fuels her passion to see all people find freedom and full life in Jesus Christ.
Heather also loves being the wife of Pastor Jeff Semple and mom to daughters, Ailee and Bella, and son, Judah. Over the last 20 years, Jeff and Heather have navigated roles and circumstances in marriage and ministry that were considered new territory for most. You can find their Podcast that offers unfiltered and honest conversations on marriage, ministry, and what to do when it gets messy, at jeffandheatherpodcast.com
Jess Connolly is a church, conference, and event speaker and is passionate about leading those she’s communicating to towards grace-filled life change.
She started Naptime Diaries (now All Good Things Collective) in 2011, selling scripture prints out of her home. She helped cofound SheReadsTruth in 2012 as well as Influence Network alongside Hayley Morgan. She cowrote Wild and Free, Dance Stand Run, and Always Enough, Never Too Much.
One of her greatest joys is gathering with women and being as honest as possible about how good God is and how much He loves them. Her aim is clear: to leave her generation more in awe of God than she found them.
She, and her husband Nick planted a church called Bright City that is based in downtown Charleston, SC, where they live with their four children.
